Harald J Karlsen CEO
Harald has more than 35 years of IT experience mainly in the insurance industry. He founded a Norwegian SW & IT Services company that grew to more than 400 people with subsidiaries in Sweden and Denmark. The company was acquired by Policy Management Systems Corp. (a NYSE company renamed Mynd Corporation). He continued to manage the Scandinavian, and later the German, operation and was subsequently promoted to CEO of the European and African operations, which included the majority of PMSC's international operations and more than 1200 people. Harald has an MSc in IT from the Univ., of Bergen, Norway and is a Chartered Director in the UK.
Reidun Karlsen CFO
Reidun was the European head of Human Resources for Policy Management Systems Corp with responsibility for all the HR aspects of establishing the Corporation across Europe. Subsequently director and co-owner of a small consultancy offering assistance to companies wishing to enter the UK market with various software products as well as director and co-owner of farming activities in South Africa. Reidun has an MBA from Henley Management College and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development.
Julian James - Business Development Director
Julian has over 20 years experience in Insurance and Technology, and studied Law and Insurance to post graduate level. An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) for more than 10 years, Julian has been involved in all aspects of Insurance systems design and implementation. Formerly, Julian was engaged in both French and Irish start up insurance software companies in the UK, and spent 12 years with Computer Science Corporation (CSC) where he was Deputy Managing Director of PMSC South Africa (a CSC acquisition).
Philip Lader - Board Member
Philip Lader, the former U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James's, is non-executive Chairman of WPP Group plc, the world-wide advertising/media firm which includes J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather, Young & Rubicam, Grey Global, Burson-Marsteller and Hill & Knowlton, with 98,000 people in 106 countries.
He is also a partner in the U.S. law firm of Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough and a Senior Adviser to Morgan Stanley. He serves on the boards of Lloyd's of London, Marathon Oil, AES, Rusal and RAND Corporations, Songbird plc (Canary Wharf), the Smithsonian Museum of American History and the Salzburg Global Seminar.
Ambassador Lader served in President Clinton's Cabinet and was White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Assistant to the President, Deputy Director of the Office of Management & Budget and Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Before entering government service, he had been Executive Vice President of the late Sir James Goldsmith's U.S. holdings (including America's largest private landholdings), President of Sea Pines Company (developer/operator of award-winning new communities), and President of universities in Australia and his home state, South Carolina. He founded Renaissance Weekends, the family retreats for innovative leaders in diverse fields, in 1981.
He is an Honorary Fellow of Pembroke College, Oxford University, and London Business School, an Honorary Bencher of the Middle Temple, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Chief Executives Organisation and formerly was a trustee of the British Museum, the American Red Cross and St. Paul's Cathedral Foundation. His education includes Duke University (B.A., Phi Beta Kappa), The University of Michigan (M.A.), Oxford University (graduate studies in law) and Harvard Law School (J.D.). He has been awarded honorary doctorates by 14 universities and received the 2001 Benjamin Franklin Medal from the Royal Society for the Arts, Manufactures & Commerce for his contributions to trans-Atlantic relations.
Larry D. Lenihan, Jr. - Board Member
Larry Lenihan brings more than 20 years of industry and investment experience to his position as Chairman of Superior Access. He also serves as Managing Partner of Pequot Ventures, the venture capital arm of Pequot Capital Management, an investment firm with more than $6 billion in assets under management. Larry was the founder of Pequot Ventures and serves as a Managing Director of Pequot Capital.
Larry began his career at IBM, joining the company after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering at Duke University. He progressed rapidly through the IBM organization, leading several international sales teams. Later, Larry became the founder of a start-up interactive multimedia software business developing transactional retail kiosks utilizing digital video servers within IBM.
After attending the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business where he obtained an MBA in 1993, Larry joined Broadview Associates LLC, a leading technology-oriented merchant banking firm. Larry was a senior member of the mergers and acquisitions team responsible for many of the first major M&A deals in the telecommunications equipment industryLarry joined Arthur Samberg at Pequot Capital to form Pequot Ventures.
As co-head of Pequot's seven venture funds, Larry is responsible for all of Pequot's venture initiatives. For the past five years, Pequot has focused significant energy into building a portfolio of innovative insurance and insurance technology companies which, in addition to Superior Access, includes Duck Creek Technologies, a provider of policy administration solutions; Swingtide, a consulting company advising insurance carriers on the implementation of technology strategy; EagleEye Analytics, a provider of data and analytic solutions that enable better underwriting results; Dovetail; a servicing carrier addressing federal and state insurance programs and The National Insurance Exchange, a venture to be launched in partnership with the CIAB, the IIAB and 100 insurance brokers. A prominent member of the technology venture investing community, he currently sits on the boards of several public and private companies.
Larry is also a member of the Duke University School of Engineering's Advisory Board and he serves as Chairman of Duke Engineering's Devil Fund venture initiative.

Larry Wilson - Chairman of the Board
Larry was the co-founder and managing general partner of The Trelys Funds. He is the former Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mynd Corporation (formerly Policy Management Systems Corporation (PMSC). Larry founded PMSC, which changed its name to Mynd Corporation in May 2000, and served as its Chief Executive Officer from its initial public offering in 1981 until Mynd merged with Computer Sciences Corporation in December 2000.
Mynd Corporation had over 6,000 employees worldwide and was a leading provider of application software, related automation support and outsourcing services for the global insurance and financial services industries. Mynd was a publicly held corporation, listed on the New York Stock Exchange and recognised by Business Week magazine as one of the top 100 information technology companies. As CEO of Mynd, Larry received an award as one of the top three CEOs in the Computer Software and Services Industry by The Wall Street Transcript on five separate occasions.
Larry began his career with the Seibels Bruce Group, an insurance company, while attending the University of South Carolina. After holding various management positions, he had responsibility for creating the PMS Division of Seibels Bruce in 1974.
Mr. Wilson earned a B.S. in Marketing and an M.B.A. from The University of South Carolina. He is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Mr. Wilson currently serves on the Board of Directors of Dovetail Insurance, Duck Creek Technologies, Inc. (Chairman), Duck Creek Technologies Europe, Ltd., EagleEye Analytics, UniTrends Software Corporation, Ometric Corporation and TriVirix International, Inc.
Doug Roller - Board member
In addition to co-founding Duck Creek US in January of 2000, Doug founded Micro-Magic Systems in 1981 and served as its CEO. Micro-Magic pioneered the development and marketing of insurance rating software and services to independent insurance agents. Micro-Magic was acquired by AMS in 1986, and became the cornerstone of AMS Rating Services, the largest property-casualty insurance rating organization in the United States. Doug served as the founding divisional CEO and also served in other key AMS corporate leadership roles until 1996. Doug has served as the CEO of Duck Creek US since its foundation. He and the other founders continue to play a significant role in Duck Creek's rapid growth and prominence in the insurance industry. Doug is also an active member of his community, serving on the boards of both education and public health institutions in the Bolivar area. Doug holds both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in English.
